A few weeks back one of our “Internet Friends” Katie Contreras stopped by the Medic Up! Studios to hang out while she was checking out #yeahthatgreenville. Katie is an Education and Training Lieutenant for San Marcos County EMS in Texas. The three of us share a lot of the same interests and have very similar backgrounds. While we were coordinating her visit to the Medic Up Studios we realized that we had actually met Katie, in real life, about 2 years ago when @skinnymedic and I competed in the National Tactical Medical Competiton in Charlotte, NC. So after navigating a few (many) technical difficulties we sat around and talked into the microphones for a while. Our conversation jumps around from education, Stop the Bleed, Internet tourniquet battles, different names for Whackers and what’s in Dietrich’s truck. We re-tell the “How @skinnymedic and I met BEFORE he was the @skinnymedic. I name drop another podcaster (Ginger, you ROCK!)
